Cretcheu is a road documentary, in which three musicians and a filmmaker go through the Cape Verde islands to the discovery of the origins of the music they love. Once arrived there, the team, helped by the indigenous, discovers an extremely different world from what they had imagined: a world rich of colors, stories, legends, that just the wise elderlies can tell, by blending the shades and the contradictions of an ancient culture, in a sublime musical synthesis of the world. The journey ends up in the square where the modern slavery was born. There, it was started that process that gave the birth to the most important musical genres we all know today.
